Western Water Examines CV SALTS with help from Diepenbrock Elkin Gleason's Nicole Gleason

A recent Western Water article by the Water Education Foundation looked to Nicole Gleason to analyze the impact of proposed CV SALTS compliance requirements such as the obligation to provide replacement drinking water to neighbors reliant on impacted wells. Nicole has previously posted on the CV SALTS mission to create a regulatory framework that is feasible in light of historic nitrate and salinity contamination levels in the Central Valley.  CV SALTS, a coalition of industry, government and environmental stakeholders, attempts to advance three specific goals: providing safe drinking water supplies to impacted users, balancing nitrate and salt loadings, and restoring aquifers where possible.  Here you can find Nicole’s most recent post, outlining the program’s compliance pathways and providing an update on the adoption process.
