Jennifer Dauer was appointed as the Budget and Finance Officer for the ABA Section of Public Contract Law.

On August 9, at the American Bar Association annual meeting, Ms. Dauer was appointed to a three-year term as the Section of Public Contract Law’s Budget and Finance Officer. As Budget and Finance Officer, Ms. Dauer will be responsible for monitoring the Section’s accounts, revenues, and expenditures, for submitting an annual budget, and for reporting on financial issues to the Section’s Officers, Council and membership. Ms. Dauer has been active in the Public Contract Law Section for most of her career, serving at various times as co-chair of its State and Local Procurement Division and its Membership Committee, as well as being actively involved in a number of different committees. She also has served as a co-chair on several Section educational programs, has spoken at educational programs, and has authored articles for the Section’s quarterly publication, “The Procurement Lawyer.”

The American Bar Association Section of Public Contract Law is a diverse community of law firm attorneys, in-house counsel, and government counsel committed to improving the public procurement process and upholding the highest ethical and professional standards while providing a forum for networking, sharing ideas, and building consensus. The Section seeks to improve government contract law at the federal, state and local levels and promote the professional development of attorney and associate members. The Section contributes to developments in government contract law, including by reviewing and commenting on proposed legislation and regulations. The Section also holds regular educational programs for its members and others in the government contracts field.
