Jon D. Rubin
Principal
In 2006, Jon D. Rubin joined Diepenbrock Harrison as a Principal in the firm's Land Use and Environmental Law Department. His practice focuses on the areas of natural resources and water law.
Mr. Rubin represents clients in complex negotiations, administrative proceedings, and state and federal litigation. He has had the unique experience of helping meet the water needs of his clients, in part, through negotiating short and long term transfers and assignments and guiding them through federal and state regulatory processes. Mr. Rubin currently serves as special counsel to major State water entities including Westlands Water District and San Luis & Delta-Mendota Water Authority.
Mr. Rubin has extensive knowledge of Federal reclamation law, the National Environmental Policy Act, the Federal Endangered Species Act, California state water law, the California Environmental Quality Act, and the California Endangered Species Act.
Prior to joining Diepenbrock Harrison, Mr. Rubin was a shareholder with Kronick, Moskovitz Tiedemann & Girard. A graduate of the University of Delaware, he earned his juris doctor at New York Law School.
