Brad Johnson is a member of Diepenbrock Harrison’s Land Use and Environmental Law Department.  Brad’s practice focuses on CEQA compliance and litigation, mine regulation under the Surface Mining and Reclamation Act, Williamson Act matters, and oil and gas project permitting.  Prior to joining the firm, Brad served in the Office of Governmental and Environmental Relations at the California Department of Conservation.

Brad holds a B.A. in political science with honors from the University of California, Davis and a J.D. cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law.  While in law school, Brad earned the School of Law’s Highest Merit Scholarship, Best Overall Advocate Award, multiple CALI Awards, and Highest Honors for Lawyering Skills. He wrote for Motions and received the School of Law’s Most Outstanding Contributor Award for his journal contributions to the California Regulatory Law Reporter. He also clerked for the California Legislative Counsel Bureau.

Brad is a member of the Environmental Law Section of the California State Bar Association and the Environment, Energy, and Resources Section of the American Bar Association.
