Anthony J. Cortez is an associate in the firm’s Business and Construction Litigation Departments. His practice focuses primarily on commercial and construction litigation representing corporations, general contractors, and small businesses.

Prior to joining Diepenbrock Harrison in 2008, Anthony practiced in Southern California at the boutique law firm of Krutcik & Georggin, where he focused exclusively on complex litigation in business, construction, employment, and real estate disputes.

Anthony is licensed to practice before all courts in the State of California and the United States District Courts for the Central and Eastern Districts. He is a member of the California Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Sacramento County Bar Association, the Placer County Bar Association, and the Roseville Chamber of Commerce.

Anthony received his B.A. in Government, with a minor in Communications, from California State University, Sacramento, where he was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, National Political Science Honor Society. He then went on to receive his Juris Doctor and a certificate in International and Comparative Law from Whittier College, where he graduated cum laude. While in law school, Anthony was the recipient of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel (ASCD) scholarship, given to one student per law school. He was also placed on the Dean’s list all three years, was a multiple CALI-Award winner, and was named Outstanding Graduate in International and Comparative Law.

In his spare time, Anthony enjoys the outdoors with his family, and pursuing his second passion for the culinary arts.
