Andrea A. Matarazzo became a member of the Land Use and Environmental Law Department in Summer 2004. Andrea's practice focuses on land use issues and project permitting, with particular emphasis on issues arising under the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA"). She advises private applicants and public entities regarding compliance with CEQA as well as the National Environmental Policy Act ("NEPA"), state planning and zoning law, endangered species regulations, water supply and water quality mandates, and other regulatory requirements. Her practice includes all aspects of development review and permitting, representing applicants, agencies, and other interested groups throughout the administrative process as well as in litigation.

Andrea received her bachelor's degree from Rutgers University in 1989, and her juris doctor degree from King Hall at the University of California, Davis, in 1995. While at King Hall, she was a Staff Editor of the U.C. Davis Law Review and Senior Articles Editor of the Journal of International Law & Policy. She holds a bachelor's degree in land use planning and is a California Registered Landscape Architect.

Andrea has taught land use planning law at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and served on the Board of Directors of the Sacramento Tree Foundation and the Sacramento affiliate of Habitat for Humanity.

Prior to joining Diepenbrock Harrison, Andrea was a partner with Remy, Thomas, Moose & Manley.
