om the University of California at Davis in 2002. She received her law degr=
ee from the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2006. Addition=
ally, she received a Certificate in International Legal Studies while study=
ing in Salzburg, Austria, under the instruction of Anthony M. Kennedy, Asso=
ciate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. During law school,=
 Courtney served as law clerk, recording secretary, and board member to the=
 Legal Center for the Elderly and Disabled, a non-profit legal aid firm ded=
icated to serving the poor, elderly, and disabled residents of Sacramento a=
nd San Joaquin counties and currently serves as interim Executive Director.=
 The Sacramento Bee recognized Courtney for her public service work. In 200=
5, she worked as a legal analyst to Douglas Nareau, Chief Counsel to the Ca=
lifornia Occupational Health and Safety Appeals Board. In 2006, Courtney wo=
rked as a law clerk for Remy, Thomas, Moose & Manley before joining the fir=
m as an attorney.=20=0D=0A=0D=0ACourtney is a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association and the State=
 Bar of California.=0D=0A=0D=0AIn her spare time, Courtney enjoys kayaking, mountain biking, fishing, spen=
